A Ballerina Medina frame is elegantly composed of two distinct frames that are carefully sewn together. This particular style of frame was quite popular during the Victorian era and continues to be utilized frequently in various series, such as the well-known Downton Abbey. These exquisite frames work beautifully as table lamps, enhancing the aesthetic of any room while providing functional lighting.

I mainly use vintage silk kimonos for the smaller Ballerina Medina frames because the silk casts a beautiful light. The large 22” frame featured in this image was specifically designed for a very high ceiling hallway located in Dublin, allowing the beautiful craftsmanship to truly stand out in such an impressive space.
