Here are some of my absolute favorite customer orders that showcase the wonderful variety of preferences and styles a shade can have.

inspiration always comes from nature

Huwara (Palestine) a commemorative shade after a particularly gruesome month of murder in Howard village by the IOF. This shade became almost a keening for me while I was making it.

This carousel was the customers own and was a bit bent in places. The pink embroidered fabric was an old silk scarf that she wanted to use as it had sentimental value. We used it as the lining and covered the exterior was a floral linen fabric. The

The finished shade. This one I would have kept!

This shade was an experiment with embroidery and appliqué. The blue fabric was a worn Ralph Lauren bed sheet that lived many lives and gained new one as a lampshade. I love reusing fabrics.

Drawing room frame. This shade was made for my best customer. A singer who is as addicted to shades as I am. She is always a joy to make for and her home is like my showroom at this stage.

8' Double carousel. This customer also has a home full of my shades and literally cannot fit anymore in. Her home is beautiful and she is an utter joy to make for.

There are two layers of lining on this shade, a mustard cotton lining and also a block print lining on the side ears. This affects the light when lit.

When lit the under fabric (block print) shines through the red velvet.
